Medical Surgical Nurse New

Pride Health is currently seeking candidates for a “Registered Nurse – MS/Tele” position to support our client's healthcare system in Wilmington, Winston Salem and Salisbury, NC. This is a contract assignment with high extension potential and an exciting opportunity to gain experience in a high-acuity, resource-rich environment.

Job Description

• Job Title: Registered Nurse – MS/Tele
• Location: Wilmington, Winston Salem and Salisbury, NC
• Schedule: 3x12-Hour Shifts (Nights: 6:45 PM – 7:15 AM) | Every Other Weekend
• Pay Range: $2,000 - $2,200 Weekly
• Contract Length: 13 weeks

Overview

Position Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Med/Surg Telemetry Registered Nurse to join a dynamic float pool supporting multiple inpatient units within a large, acute care teaching hospital. This role involves caring for a wide range of medical, surgical, and telemetry patients, including ED boarders. Ideal candidates thrive in high-paced environments and demonstrate adaptability, clinical expertise, and excellent communication.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver safe, compassionate, and comprehensive nursing care to adult Med/Surg and Telemetry patients.
• Float between multiple inpatient units and assist with inpatient ED overflow as assigned.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to plan, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care.
• Document accurately using EPIC; utilize PYXIS for medication management.
• Participate in Storm Team or Emergency Response Team when required.

Qualifications

• Licensure: Active RN License (Compact or NC)
• Experience:
• Minimum 3 years RN experience
• At least 1-year recent Med/Surg experience
• Travel RN experience required (no first-time travelers)
• Certifications:
• BLS – Required
• ACLS, Telemetry – Preferred
• Must pass facility-provided EKG competency exam prior to start
